What is an MPO/MTP Loopback?
The MPO/MTP loopback contains MPO/MTP loopback patch cords and both ends of the fiber are inserted into an MPO/MTP connector so that the optical path can be in the same connector without changing the signal or repeating the signal back to itself.
It can provide an effective solution to test the transmitting ability and receiving sensitivity of network equipment. Especially in 40/100G network communication, it can locate various potential phenomena through the return signal so as to achieve effective testing and evaluation for optical network and its single component or interface.
The MPO/MTP looper has a variety of configurations. It can accommodate 8-core, 12-core, 16-core and 24-core MPO/MTP connectors and several fiber configurations to suit the optical ports under test.
The Simplified and robust housing design provides better stability and reliability.
